GROUP THERAPY GUIDELINES
The same rules apply as in individual therapy.
What goes on in the room stays in the room.
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. All feelings, even anger, can be expressed with respect and the
to attempt be constructrive or helpful.
We are completely free to express all thoughts and feelings.
Honesty is expected and a primary goal. I also agree to contribute to the meeting by sharing my thoughts in the here and now.
4 PHYSICAL CONTACT
No hitting. Ask permission before touching anyone in group.
People have a right to say no.
Regular attendance and promptness are necessary for continuity. I am expected to inform the group about absences.
6 OUTSIDE RELATIONSHIPS
Normal social interaction is expected. Developing special or private relationships with other group members is discouraged in order to protect the group process.
Members are expected to inform the Group of plans for departure at least 2 weeks prior to saying goodbye in the group
I understand that I am agreeing to a minimum of 5 consecutive meetings to ensure that I have reasonably evaluated the process and respected the group’s time.
